CaCl₂
Calcium Chloride — CaCl₂
Hygroscopic salt for completion and workover brines and for selected drilling-fluid applications. Concentration and form (flake, pellet, solution) must be specified.
Application
Clear brine completion/workover fluids, density adjustment, and selected drilling-fluid treatments. Hydrate form (dihydrate vs anhydrous) affects dosing and is producer-specific.
Technical characteristics (quality certificate)
Typical values as stated on a mill quality certificate (passport) for a standard commercial grade. Actual lot values are confirmed in the COA / TDS for the selected manufacturer.
CaCl₂ content
≥ 94% (solid) / 35–38% (liquid)
