CaCO₃

Calcium Carbonate — CaCO₃ Weighting & Bridging

Acid-soluble weighting and bridging material used in drill-in fluids, LCM pills and selected cementing / completion applications.

Application

Reservoir drill-in fluids, lost-circulation bridging, and density control where acid solubility is required. Particle size distribution (e.g. fine, medium, coarse) must be specified.

Technical characteristics (quality certificate)

Typical values as stated on a mill quality certificate (passport) for a standard commercial grade. Actual lot values are confirmed in the COA / TDS for the selected manufacturer.

CaCO₃ content

≥ 95%

Industrial / bridging grade

Specific gravity

Reference profile for orientation. For each supply we confirm grade, origin and certificate data against your specification, well conditions and delivery requirements.

Typical functions

  • Acid-soluble weighting
  • Bridging / LCM
  • Filter cake that can be removed by acid
  • Selected spacer and cement applications

Product information

Chemical name
Calcium Carbonate (ground / sized)
Formula / class
CaCO₃
Appearance
White to off-white powder or granules. Size distribution is the primary technical parameter.
