Application
Water-based drilling fluids where low-shear-rate viscosity, cuttings transport and hole cleaning are required. Used in fresh-water, salt-water and other water-based systems depending on the selected grade. Especially useful where carrying capacity must be maintained without excessively increasing high-shear viscosity.

Typical values (pH of 1% solution 5.5–8.5, moisture max. 13%, sieve residue and rotational/Brookfield viscosity) depend on the selected manufacturer and grade. Food-grade xanthan is not automatically suitable for drilling fluids. TDS, SDS/MSDS, COA and manufacturer specification are available on request.
